Larry Wayne Adams

Larry Wayne Adams of Steelville, MO was born on Wednesday, June 27, 1956 in Steelville, MO to Charles “Charlie” Edmond Adams and Rachel Legetta King Adams. He passed away at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi, MO at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 11 days.
Larry graduated from Steelville High School with the Class of 1974. He married the love of his life, Nancy Christene Grubaugh on July 5, 1975 at Wesco Baptist Church and to this union 2 sons, Nick and Tyrel were born. He accepted the Lord early in life and had attended Huzzah Baptist Church. Larry logged most of his life and started to help his dad when he was just 7 years old. He was the owner of Adams Logging and worked daily with his sons. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed anything that had to do with being outside, especially hunting, fishing and just being on the farm. Larry was always willing to lend a helping hand and never met a stranger. Most importantly, Larry loved his family were #1 to him, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed any chance to get everyone together whether it be for bbqs, dinners or celebrations. Larry will not only be missed by his family, but by our community.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles “Charlie” and Rachel Adams and 2 brothers Roy Adams and Jimmie Adams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy Adams of Steelville, MO; sons Nick (Becky) Adams and Tyrel (Hayley) Adams both of Steelville, MO; honorary son Timmy Wilkinson of Steelville, MO; grandchildren Timber and Cole Adams; honorary grandchildren Madison, Gunner and Fawn Wilkinson; sister Barbara (Ray) Callahan of Steelville, MO; parents-in-law Earl and Christene Grubaugh; brothers-in-law Keith (Leesa) Grubaugh of Branson, MO and Hal Grubaugh of Steelville, MO; sister-in-law Marsha Parsons of Marthasville, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 4:00-8:00PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 and Funeral Service was at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO with Rev. Leonard Moreland and Bro. Roy Adams, Jr. officiating. Burial at the Adams Family Cemetery, Steelville, MO. Memorials were suggested to the Larry Adams Scholarship Fund.

Special music by Timber Adams who sang Log Train. In the Pines, Jealous of the Angels and Go Rest High were also played.

Pallbearers were Nick Adams, Tyrel Adams, Timber Adams, Cole Adams, Dustin Adams, Timmy Wilkinson, Lance Harmon, Dillon Parry, RJ Severtsgaard, Clyde Doss, Kyle Grubaugh, Jeff McMillen, Gunner Wilkinson and Madison Wilkinson.
