Matthew Lynn Griffin

Matthew Lynn Griffin of Leasburg, MO was born in Detroit, MI on Saturday, June 15, 1963 to Joseph Reed Griffin and Mable Irene (Cheek) Griffin.  He passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his home at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 4 days.

Matthew accepted the Lord early in life and had attended Living Word Ministries in Leasburg, MO.  He worked as a factory worker most of his life and was last employed at ATRO Engineered Systems as a Mold Technician.  Matthew was loved by everyone he met.  He enjoyed to BBQ and sing karaoke.  He loved his dog Roscoe, which he made homemade meals daily.  Most of all, Matthew was a family man; he loved seeing his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and loved having everyone together. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mable Irene Griffin and sister Patsy Lee Webb.

He is survived by his father Joseph Griffin of Hale, MI; siblings Nina (Jim) Dillion Hanesack of Jefferson City, MO, Gloria McWilliams of River Rouge, MI, Danial (Eddie Faye) Griffin of Sullivan, MO, Trula (Dan) Parsons of Sebring, FL, Regina Henson of Ferndale, MI, Gail Fritz and Scarlet (Richard) Enke both of Leasburg, MO and Thomas Griffin of St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law Gary Webb of Hale, MI; puppy Roscoe; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  A private memorial service will take place at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
