Wilma A. (Rowland) Kitchen

Wilma A. Kitchen nee Rowland of Leasburg, MO was born on Tuesday, September 21, 1937 to William David and Jessie Isabella Russel Rowland in Leasburg, MO. She passed away at her daughter’s home in Bourbon, MO on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 7 days.

Wilma married Floyd A. Kitchen on June 6, 1955 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Leasburg, MO and to this union 3 children were born.  Wilma and Floyd were inseparable. She loved her family and she put others before herself. She enjoyed quilting, canning and traveling. She was a jokester and the life of the party. Wilma will be missed greatly by her family and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents William David and Jessie Isabella Russel Rowland; husband Floyd A. Kitchen; brother Dave (Thelma) Rowland; sisters Betty Enloe and Ruth Lee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tony Kauffman, Marvin Ware, Edwin Kitchen, Ruth Cartwright, and Ed Carlisle; granddaughter Ashlea Nicole Kitchen; and great grandson Bennett Kitchen.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Fife of Bourbon, MO, sons Floyd (Tina)  W. Kitchen and Mark (Tiffany) Kitchen all of Leasburg, MO; brothers Joe (Debbie) Rowland of Colorado Springs, CO and  Sam Rowland of Waynesville, MO; sisters  Cleo Carlisle  and Viola Ware of Cuba, MO;  sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law  Marvin (Delores) Kitchen,  Charlene Kauffman,  Carl  Lee, and Allen Enloe all of St. Louis, MO, and Norman Cartwright of Rolla, MO; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Visitation was from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 01, 2019 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Memorial Service was at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 01, 2019 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Pastor Chad Wisdom officiating.
