Alice F. Grogan, nee Senf, of Cuba, MO was born on Wednesday, July 13, 1938 in Centralia, MO to Herman Clarence Senf and Ortha "Fern" Tucker Senf. She passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 13 days.
Alice attended and graduated from Southwest High School in St. Louis, MO. She married the love of her life, Bernard “Ben” Russell Grogan on October 26, 1963 in St. Louis, MO. Alice was a secretary for 40 years with Ralston Purina. Later, Alice worked at Sybils in St. James, MO which she loved. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cuba, MO where she led the Women’s Missionary Union, served as the clerk and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, especially needlepoint and embroidery, painting and taking care of her two cats. Most of all, she loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Fern Senf; parents-in-law Jeffie and Lizzie Pewitt Grogan; husband Ben Grogan; brother Al Senf; sister-in-law Lorene Gray; brother-in-law Darrell Grogan; and nephew Eric Senf.
Alice is survived by her siblings Mary (David) Rice of Marathon, FL and Richard (Marilyn) Senf of St. Louis, MO; step sons Paul (Betty Lou) Grogan and Bill Grogan both of Springfield, MO and Guy (Connie) Grogan of Elkland, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Burial was at Dry Fork Baptist Cemetery, Salem, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials were suggested to First Baptist Church, 606 W Myrtle St, Cuba, MO 65453.
