Anthony "Al" Dildine Obituary

Anthony “Al” Dildine of Cuba, MO was born on Thursday, October 21, 1971, in Osceola, AR to James Albert Dildine and Patricia Ann Dildine, nee Jackson. He passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 26 days.

Al attended Auburndale High School in Auburndale, FL. He married the love of his life, Laura Amelia Fox, on February 15, 1992, in Polk City, FL and to this union six children were born. In 1996, he and Laura moved to Cuba, MO to be closer to family. Al had worked as a bounty hunter, nurse’s aide, and a factory worker before starting his company, Dildine Construction. Al had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was a member of the Anointed Faith Tabernacle Church where he loved attending. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed BBQing and swimming. Most of all, Al was a family man, loved the role he played in each of his family’s lives and loved being “Poppy” more than anything. He loved time spent with his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Patricia Dildine; parents-in-law Lewis and Antonina “Toni” Fox; sisters, Delena Tucker and Laura Dildine; uncles, Richard Dildine, Thomas Dildine, Michael Dildine and Tracy Dildine; and aunt Patricia Alvey.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Laura Dildine of Cuba, MO; children Ashley (Andy) Simpson, Brittney Dildine, Courtney (Jacob) Bridges, Anthony Dildine, II. all of Cuba, MO, Steven (Megan) Dildine of Prattville, AL and Stephen (Ariana) Dildine of St. Charles, MO; siblings, Teresa (Paul) Tesky of IN, James Dildine of FL, Bobby Dildine of Cuba, MO, Richard (Libby) Dildine of FL, Polly (Joey) Daniels of FL, Andrew (Michelle) Dildine of Steelville, MO and Joe Dildine of Noblesville, IN; brothers-in-law, Joseph “Tuck” Tucker of Steelville, MO and James (Linda) Pry of Cuba, MO; grandchildren, Landon Sedlak of TX, Olivia Sedlak, Avery Bridges, Jaxon Bridges, Evelynn Morris, Nicolas Bridges, Lillianna Morris, Addison Simpson, Anthony Dildine, III, Ryan Simpson, Greyson Bridges, Alexzander Dildine, Jace Simpson all of Cuba, MO, Caroline Dildine of Prattville, AL and Elias Dildine of St. Charles, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Funeral Service  immediately followed at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jordan Booker officiating. Following Al’s wishes, the family chose cremation as his final disposition.
