Arlene Jean Alexander nee Holum of Cuba, MO was born on Tuesday, October 13, 1936 in Litchfield, MN to Martin Holum and Myrtle Anderson Holum. She passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Steelville Senior Living at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 22 days.
Arlene married Noel K. "Jack" Alexander on December 16, 1966 in Kansas City, MO. She owned and operated Arlene's Gifts and Crafts in Cuba for several years. She then was bookkeeper for Alexander Muffler and Brake. After retirement, Arlene and Jack enjoyed many years wintering in South Texas. Arlene was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cuba, MO. She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Myrtle Holum; son Jonnie Johnson; daughter Kyle Gwen Gross; four brothers; 2 sisters; and brother-in-law Keith Miller.
She is survived by her husband Jack Alexander of Cuba, MO; daughters Vikki Nowling of Humble, TX and Nancy Gambrel of Houston, TX; son Timothy (Diana) Johnson of Kansas City, MO and stepson Douglas (Donna) Alexander of Rolla, MO; sisters-in-law Donna Miller of Tucson, AZ and Debbie (Bob) Templeton of Hickory, NC; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial Service is 11:00AM Saturday, January 11, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 606 W. Myrtle, Cuba, MO with Pastor Jim Moore officiating.
