Arthur Land Obituary

Arthur WIlliam Land, of Cuba, MO, was born on Tuesday, February 12, 1935, in Leasburg, MO to Leon Land And Mary Land.  He passed away at Cuba Manor in Cuba, MO on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 10 days.

Arthur attended Bourbon High School and graduated in 1953. After graduation, he served in the United States Army for two years. After his service, he worked for eight years at Wabash Railroad and then sold insurance for a period of time at Western-Southern Life Insurance Company.  He worked at Wal-Mart and retired in 1995 after 20 years of service.  He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and could quote in great detail all sorts of information on the various teams. He married Patricia Land in the 1990's. They were married for two years before she was tragically killed in an automobile accident.

Arthur was baptized in Jesus' name in August of 1968. Church remained a big part of his life.  He had been a minister early in life and could quote over 5000 scriptures in the Bible.  He would spend his breaks at work memorizing scripture.  His friends said he was a very humble man with a photographic memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Mary Land and his wife Patricia Land.
