Obituary

Barbara “Barb” Sue Parker, nee Lea, of Steelville, MO was born on Sunday, March 1, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to Lloyd Earnest Lea and Helen Ethel Gray Lea.  She passed away at Steelville Senior Living on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 24 days.

Barb attended Cherryville and Steelville schools.  She married Landis “Jr” Parker on June 13, 1969 in Steelville, MO and to this union three children were born.  Barb accepted the Lord early in life.  She had worked for Brake Parts, Brown Shoe and Cut Throat Sewing.  She enjoyed having fish fries, going to parades and taking her grandkids, fireworks and loved to play bingo.  Most of all, Barb loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Helen Lea; parents-in-law Landis Sr and Eva Parker; sisters Doris (Kenny) Wilkinson and Judy Lea; brothers-in-law Irvin Parker, Bob Parker, Eddie Parker, infant Landis and Kenny Green; sisters-in-law Dixie (Phillip) Farrar and Mildred "Micky" Cooper; grandson Zachary Landis Parker; nephew Bo Farrar and great nephews.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Landis "Jr" Parker of Steelville, MO; children Landis (Rebecca) Parker, III of St. Ann, MO, Debbie (Aaron) Wilkins and Kathy (James) Kiblinger both of Steelville, MO; siblings Eugene (Paula) Lea, Brenda (Tom) Murray and Dennis (Linda) Lea all of Steelville, MO; grandchildren Emilie Parker, Levi Parker, Alec Wilkins, Jared (Tierra) Wilkins, Joshua Wilkins, Cody (Carla) Parker and Timothy Kiblinger; great grandchildren Jaylyn, Zarek, Kaston, Aspen and baby Colt on the way; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 2:00 PM  with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating.  Burial was at Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, MO. 

Memorials were suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.

Bob & Carol Coleman sang Amazing Grace and One Day At A Time; a song, A Blue Moon Over My World Without You was played by CD. 

Pallbearers were grandsons:  Alec, Jared and Joshua Jared Wilkins, Cody and Levi Parker and Timothy Kiblinger.

Arrangements under the care of Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.
