Baylee Faye Stringer

Baylee Faye Stringer, of Steelville, MO, was born on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in Sullivan, MO, to John James "Pete" Stringer and Steffany Irene Stringer, nee Halbert.  She passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 12, leaving behind countless family and friends that will greatly miss her.

Baylee was special and stood out from the day she was born.  She had accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age, was strong in her faith, was a prayer warrior and had a favorite scripture, Psalm 91:1-5.  She was a gracious, giving soul and loved helping people.  Baylee enjoyed crocheting and making gifts for her friends.  She loved music, riding horses with her mom, hunting and fishing with her dad, and swimming in the creek.  She liked trying new foods and baking.  Most of all, Baylee just loved having her family together,  spending time with them and her dog, Grace.  She was a loving and special daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Lee Stringer.

Baylee is survived by her loving parents, Pete and Steffany Stringer of Steelville, MO; brothers, John “LJ” (wife “Mike”) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Charlie John Stringer of Steelville, MO; grandparents, Barbara Stringer of Cuba, MO, John and Janice Halbert of Steelville, MO; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The family had a private service on Thursday, May 22, 2025 with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.  Private Burial was at the Halbert Family Cemetery in Steelville, MO.

Public Visitation was from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Celebration of Life immediately followed at 6:00 PM with Josh Trolinger officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials were suggested to the family or the funeral home while the family sets something up in Baylee's honor.
