Bill Fitzgerald

William "Bill" John Fitzgerald was born on Thursday, June 2, 1949 in St. Louis, MO to Gerald John Fitzgerald and Mary Ann Sucher Fitzgerald.  He passed away at MO Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, MO on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 70 years, 8 months, and 5 days.

Bill married Lynn King on January 24, 2007 at Union, MO.  He worked a short time as a truck driver for Next Day Motor Freight. He then was an installer for several years and a member of the IBEW Local #1 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He most recently owned and operated Riverside Wildlife Center in Stanton, MO. Bill was a founding member of the Herpetological Society of St. Louis, MO. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Gerald John Fitzgerald; parents-in-law Cowan King and Bernice (Hilmer) Brewer

He is survived by his wife Lynn King Fitzgerald of Bourbon, MO; children Susan Fitzgerald of Sullivan, MO,  Kari (Christopher) Meyer of St. Peters, MO,  Anna (Dakota) Faulkner of Kansas City, MO, and Michael Huffman of Sullivan, MO; mother Mary Ann Dix of Bourbon, MO; sister  Diane Fitzgerald of Bourbon, MO; brothers-in-law David King and Bryan King both of Cuba, MO, and Danny (Lisa) King of Leasburg, MO; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Visitation from 2-3:00PM and Funeral Service at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Cross Roads Baptist Church, 5958 Hwy H, Leasburg, MO with Pastor Lane Allen officiating.  Burial at Cross Roads Cemetery, Leasburg, MO with pallbearers James Claus, Michael Huffman, Ryan and Alex Meyer, Steven and Sam Pemberton. Memorials were suggested to the Funeral Home for final expenses.
