Billy lived in Eminence, MO until the age of six and then moved to Bourbon, MO.  He attended and graduated from Bourbon High School in 1952. Later that year, Billy married the love of his life, Patricia Eloise Halfaker, on December 25, 1952, in Bourbon, MO and to this union three children were born.  Billy accepted the Lord as his personal Savior early in life.  He and Pat were baptized in a lake in the middle of winter.  Billy worked in the printing industry for many years.  He started at the Bourbon Beacon Newspaper while in high school, then moved to Union and worked for the Union Banner.  He left Union Banner to work for World Color Press in Litchfield, IL for several years printing comic books. He then worked as a printer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch for over 20 years until his retirement. After retiring, he worked for the Cuba Free Press.

Billy enjoyed fishing and sports, specifically basketball and softball. He was a well-known shooting guard for Bourbon High School. He was also an excellent pitcher and enjoyed playing softball on local town teams with his wife, Pat, who was the catcher.  He loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and follow local high school sports. He was an avid gardener and took pride in the upkeep of his yard.  Mostly he loved being with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Robinson; his loving wife of 65 years Patricia E. Robinson; parents-in-law Charles (Alma) Halfaker; son-in-law Bob Rose; brothers-in-law Dwight (Dorothea) Halfaker and Terry Halfaker.
