Brian Louis Hughes

Brian Louis Hughes of Cuba, MO was born on Saturday, June 11, 1966 in Rolla, MO to Louis S. Hughes and Earline I. Hughes nee Roop. He peacefully passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Aurora Health and Rehab in Rolla, MO at the age of 57 years and 2 months.

Brian was married to Angela Slankard on September 10, 2011 in Sullivan, MO. From this union, he gained two amazing step-children.   Brian was a faithful follower and servant of Jesus Christ. His favorite book to read and quote was the Holy Bible. He had a kind heart, sensitive spirit, and quick wit. He was also a talented, self-taught guitar player, and loved to spend time jamming with his brother, nephew, and friends as often as possible. Brian liked to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, fish when he had the chance, walk about in nature, and spend time with his family. He spent time working as a detailer for a Harley Davidson dealership, and most recently as a part of the team at McGinnis Wood Products in Cuba. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Earline Hughes. 

Brian is survived by his wife Angela "Angie" Hughes of Sullivan, MO; step-children Paige and Nathan Fuller of Sullivan, MO; granddaughter Nevaeh Fuller of Sullivan, MO; parents in-law Chuck and Donna Slankard all of Sullivan, MO; siblings John B. Hughes of Austin Colony, TX, Diane (Earl) Markland of Cuba, MO, Sean Hughes of Cuba, MO and Sharon Hughes of Austin, TX; beloved nephews, niece, and grand nieces; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Brian will be laid to rest at Hughes Family Cemetery, St. James, MO.

The family will have a private family ceremony officiated by Chaplain Richard Ware.
