Clinton Allen Mullen

Clinton Allen Mullen, of Vista, CA, and formerly of Cuba, MO, was born on Thursday, October 3, 1935, in Cuba, MO to John Edward Mullen and Martha Leona Mullen, nee Walden.  He passed away peacefully at his home in Vista, CA, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 11 days.

Clinton joined the United States Air Force in May of 1954 and served until June of 1975.  Duty tour included from the end of the Korean War through Vietnam, with overseas duty in Greenland, Libya and Thailand.   After his retirement from the military, he later worked for Sears, Washington State as a drivers license examiner and then for the Fort Lewis Logistics Center for over 10 years before retiring in 1994.  He married Wilma J. Penland in St. Louis County, MO.  After her passing, he later married Judith Ann Seal, nee Brown, on April 24, 2004, in Henderson, NV.  

Traveling and the outdoors brought joy to his life, especially the Pacific Northwest and the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.  Those joys were close only to his love of God, family and country. 

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Martha Mullen; first wife, Wilma Mullen; daughter, Vicki Mullen; son, Danny Mullen; siblings, Ed (Gene) Mullen, Wayne (Joy) Mullen, Donald (Jean) Mullen and Delores (Bill) Jones.

Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Judith Mullen of Vista, CA; sons, Clinton “Allen” Mullen, Jr. (wife, Diane) of OR and William Mullen of WA; stepson, Kevin Seal (wife, Julie) of Derby, KS; stepdaughter, Teri Kersting of Vista, CA;  many grandchildren, many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Inurnment will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Lick Creek Cemetery in Cuba, MO.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, MO. (Mail to Lick Creek Cemetery c/o Linda Mullen   PO Box 337  Cuba, MO  65453)
