Daniel "Dan" Bell Obituary

Daniel “Dan” Bell of Davisville, MO was born on Monday, August 27, 1951, in Steelville, MO to Daniel Roy Kreamalmeyer and Virginia Shockley Bell. He passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Dan was a lifelong resident of Crawford County.  He was raised by his grandparents, Willie and Zelma Bell, whom he called “Mom” and “Dad”.  He married Mary Harmon in February of 1971. To this union 5 children were born and 10 years were spent together.  He later met the love of his life, Connie Jane Bell.  They married on April 22, 1989 and together they raised 8 children.

He worked in the logging industry for years, driving a truck for many of the Crawford County logging companies.  He worked for Chester Bryant, Steve Harmon, Larry Conaway, Frank Missey, Danny Harmon, Turnbough Logging, Skip Wishon, and Mike Yocum. He also owned his own logging company at one time.

He was happiest when spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, back-roading with the boys, or playing baseball and horseshoes.  It’s rumored that he might have been known to do a little spotlighting when out road hunting for wildlife. He also enjoyed playing cards and watching westerns on TV. Mainly, he loved visiting with family and spending time with his grandkids.
