Dean Darrell Wallace of Cuba, MO, was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1955, in St. Louis, MO, to Clyde Darrell Wallace and Mildred Catherine Wallace, nee Hunnicut. He passed away at Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, MO, on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Dean grew up in Ballwin and attended Rockwood School District. He married Debbie Friesen on December 18, 1981, in St. Louis, MO, and together raised two sons. Dean worked as a carpenter and had his own construction company, Down to Earth Construction, in Cuba, MO. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing, camping and wildlife. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and drag racing. He loved guns, leatherwork, and photography. Most of all, Dean loved his family and his two dogs, Dixie and Dolly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mildred Wallace.
Dean is survived by his loving sons, Clint (wife, Marie) Balderson of St. Clair, MO and Paul Wallace of Cuba, MO; sisters, Penny (husband, Scott) Weddell of Ballwin, MO and Pam Wallace of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Trent Balderson, Taylor Balderson, Toni Balderson, Leah (Kyle) Johnson and Paul D. Wallace, Jr.; great granddaughter, Emberlyn Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family chose cremation as Dean’s final disposition and will have a memorial service at a later date.
