Delena "Joyce" Anne (Dildine) Tucker

Delena "Joyce" Anne Tucker, nee Dildine, of Steelville, MO was born on Thursday, February 27, 1969 in Sullivan, MO to James Albert Dildine and Patricia Anne Jackson Dildine.  She passed away at her home on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the age of 52 years, 10 months and 27 days.

Joyce graduated high school in Auburndale, FL.  She married the love of her life Joseph Michael Tucker on January 12, 2006 in Winter Haven, FL and moved to Steelville, MO in 2007.  Joyce worked at Doty’s Farm and Garden in Winter Haven, FL and then Delano after moving to Steelville, MO.  She had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and enjoyed going to church with Al Dildine as her health allowed.  She enjoyed all things outdoors; fishing, hiking in the woods with her kids, going to new places and seeing new things.  She loved having her family and grandkids with her, most of all Joyce was caring and loved helping people.  She was a foster parent and helped over 60 children and adults.  She was known as “Momma Duck” and referred to her kids as “ducklings.”  She was a blessing and savior to all, she was an amazing soul. 

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Patricia Dildine; parents-in-law Mack and Elizabeth Tucker; sister Laura Marie Dildine; brothers-in-law Richard Paul Tucker and Stanley Mack Tucker.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Joseph "Tuck" Tucker of Steelville, MO; children Elisha Caldwell (companion Neal Gaither), Richard Whipp, Christopher Whipp (companion Katie Kemp) and AnnaBelle Tucker all of Steelville, MO, Patricia Dildine and Jeffrey (Miranda) Cunningham both of Cuba, MO; grandchildren Gabriel Caldwell, Kharma Caldwell, Joseph Kessels, Savannah Weddle, Aiden Whipp, Christopher Whipp, Bryson Whipp, Haven Whipp, Honor Whipp, Ryder Whipp, Zaleigh Cunningham and Alayna Cunningham; siblings Bobby Dildine of Steelville, MO, Al (Laura) Dildine of Cuba, MO, Richard (Libby) Dildine and Polly (Joseph) Daniels both of Auburndale, FL; sister-in-law Susie Tucker of Ithaca, NY; brother-in-law Rick (Carol) Tucker of Lakeland, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and also many others who loved her after helping and impacting their lives.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service immediately followed at 6:00 PM with Bro. Al Dildine officiating.  The service was livestreamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page beginning at 5:55 PM.  The family chose cremation as her final disposition.  Memorials were suggested to the Delbert Day Cancer Center in her honor.
