Diana Mae (Clements) Ikerd

Diana Mae Ikerd, nee Clements, of Steelville, MO, was born on Monday, February 22, 1937, in Bedford, IN, to Albert Sylvester Clements and Dorothy Mae Clements, nee Bagwell.  She passed away at her home in Steelville, MO, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 88 years and 7 days.

Diana graduated from high school in Fayetteville, IN and in her younger years enjoyed square dancing.  She married James Carroll Ikerd on May 15, 1955, in Indiana, and together had four children.  Diana spent most of her life between Phoenix, AZ and Steelville, MO.  While in Arizona she owned her own flower shop and when she returned to Steelville she worked for one.  She loved flowers, making floral arrangements, sewing, quilting and working crossword puzzles.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas.  Diana had accepted the Lord early in life, attended Steelville Assembly of God and participated in the jail ministry.  She was devout in her faith, loved the Lord, the outdoors, animals and most of all, loved her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Clements; husband, James Ikerd, Sr.; parents-in-law, Earl and Violet Ikerd; siblings, Janet (husband Victor) Wingler, Patty Clements and Albert “Dick” Clements; brothers-in-law Gene Ikerd, Frank Ikerd, Norman Ikerd and Jerry (wife Penny) Ikerd.

Diana is survived by her loving children, Reda (husband Dewayne) Martin of Palentine, IL, Jamie (husband Chuck) Gibbs of Gilbert AZ, Carolyn (husband Dave) Lightfoot of Silverdale, WA and Jim Ikerd, Jr. of Steelville, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sue Clements of Camp Verde, AZ, Kenny (wife Beverly) Ikerd and Janet Ikerd both of Bedford, IN and Judy Ikerd of Heltonville, IN; grandchildren, Tisha (husband Michael) Lorraine, Bethanie (husband Jeff) Jones, DJ (wife Devan) Martin, Bradley Townsend, Brianna (husband Jordan) Levingston, AJ Ikerd, Melissa Ikerd, Corie (husband Will) Connelly, Stacie (wife Anja) Gibbs, CJ (wife Jesse) Gibbs, Diana (husband Roen) Tabada, Matthew Lightfoot and Alan Lightfoot; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Steelville Assembly of God. The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
