Dnette Butler, nee Roark Hicks, of Rolla, MO was born on Thursday, September 29, 1960 to Robert Wesley Roark and Elsie Maxine Garcia Roark. She passed away at Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, MO on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 25 days.
Dnette was adopted by Emmett and Shirley Hicks and grew up in Belle, MO where she attended school. She had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and attended New Life Worship Center in St. James, MO. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis and the Gaithers. Dnette liked the outdoors and to make people laugh. Family was always a priority to her and she was so happy when she found more of her brothers and sisters. She looked forward to eating her son Ricky's chili and spending time with him and her grandson. Dnette was a loving mother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her biological parents Robert and Elsie Roark; adopted parents Emmett Hicks, Leatha Hicks and Shirley Hicks; siblings James "Jimmy" Blaine, Omar "Eddie" Heckethorn, Wesley Ray Heckethorn, Danny (Cathy) White and 7 other siblings; brother-in-law Bud Williams.
Dnette is survived by her son Ricky (Kiersten) Butler of Rolla, MO; siblings Gene "Chief" (Yenny) Roark of St. James, MO, Nickolas "Nick" (Joellen) Roark of Media, IL, Robert "Bobby" W. Roark of Brumley, MO, Dwana (Donald) White of Palmyra, MO, Mary Lou Williams, Lloyd (April) Hicks, Jeff Newton, Steve Newton, Frankie Hicks and Cindy (Frank) Butler all of Belle, MO; sisters-in-law Phyllis Heckethorn of Cahokia, IL and Linda Stuart of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren Rogue Butler, Kenzi Bishop and Kegan Bishop; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation is from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO. Funeral Service is at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Rev. Gene Roark, Pastor Cliff Bridgeman and Pastor Allen officiating and will be live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO's Facebook Page. The family chose cremation as her final disposition. Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses (PO Box 69 Cuba, MO 65453).
