Emily (Spencer) Morrow

Emily Morrow nee Spencer of Cuba, MO formerly of Ft. Smith, AR was born on May 4, 1926 in Ft. Smith, AR to Arlie Spencer and Prudy (Neal) Spencer.  She passed away on Wednesday, June 03, 2020 in her home at the age of 94 years and 30 days.

Emily lived most of her life in Ft. Smith, AR and worked at JC Penney before she became the church secretary for several years at Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Emily was a Christian and  served faithfully as a Sunday School  Superintendent and teacher of various classes at Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She devoted much time volunteering in charity work. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, crocheting, playing games on the computer, working crossword puzzles and Sudoku. Emily was loved greatly and will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arlie and Prudy Spencer; and great grandchild Jace Morgans.

She is survived by her sons Joe (Lucy) Morrow of Cuba, MO, Jerry (Joanne) Morrow of Prairie Grove, AR and John (Marlene) Morrow of Olathe, KS; brother Monroe Spencer of Ft. Smith, AR; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service and burial was on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00AM at Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, MO with Pastor Jerry Baumann officiating.

Memorials were suggested to First Baptist Church, 132 Aida St., St. James, MO 65559.
