Gabriel Keith Peak, of Steelville, MO, was born on Friday, November 2, 2001, in St. Louis, MO to Brian Keith Peak and Regina Lynn Peak, nee Richters. He passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 in a motor vehicle accident in Edgar Springs, MO at the age of 22 years, 11 months and 8 days.
Gabriel went to Steelville Schools, from Pre-K and graduated in the Class of 2020. In the spring of 2024, he graduated from Missouri S&T in Rolla, MO with a dual bachelor’s degree in history and education. He had currently been substitute teaching in Cuba, MO; he enjoyed teaching and being in the classroom. During high school, Gabriel was a member of the National Honor Society. His passion was to research vintage cast iron skillets, restore them and then cook or bake in them for family and friends. He also had a love for old-fashioned fountain pens and taught himself how to write with them. Gabriel liked the outdoors, looking at the stars and having bonfires with friends. He loved animals and was very friendly and kind to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kary Kreamalmyer and Walter Richters, II.; uncle, Walter Richters, III. and aunt, Sherri Nichols.
Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Regina Peak of Steelville, MO; grandparents, Loretta Peak of Prescott, AZ and Keith (Mary) Peak of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Hannah Peak of Columbia, SC, Alyssa (Paul) Pitts of Virginia Beach, VA and Breann Church of Springfield, MO; aunt, Retisha Richters of Phoenix, AZ; special friends, Barcley Graham of Cuba, MO and Sydney Tomlinson of Indiana; cousins and many friends.
Following Gabriel’s wishes, the family chose cremation as his final disposition. There will not be any services held at this time. Because of Gabriel's love for animals, memorials may be given to the Cuba Animal Shelter.
