Gale F. Blair

Gale F. Blair, of Cherryville, MO, was born on Thursday, June 25, 1964 in St. Louis, MO to Leon Franklin Blair and Beatrice Pauline Blair, nee Gist.  He passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 11 days.

Gale grew up in Viburnum, MO and graduated from Viburnum High School in the Class of 1982.  He had worked in Illinois in the oil fields, for Doe Run and lastly did construction in St. Louis.  Gale enjoyed fixing things and could always be found tinkering in his garage.  He liked fishing, hunting and riding four wheelers.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Beatrice Blair; brother Larry Blair and companion of 20 years, Janet Kemp.

Gale is survived by his children Macayla Blair (companion Brian Turnbough) of Viburnum, MO, Katie Kemp (companion Chris Whipp) of Steelville, MO, Josh Blair and Justin (Brinley) Blair both of WI and Joe Blair of MA; siblings Connie Bleything of Potosi, MO, Jerry (Yvonne) Blair of Strafford, MO, Garry (Susie) Blair of Salem, MO and Tammy (Pat) Kelly of Viburnum, MO; 14 grandchildren and 1 grandchild on the way; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
