Gina R. (Black) Robertson

Gina R. Robertson, nee Black, of Steelville, MO was born on Saturday, January 22, 1972 in Champaign, IL to James Arthur Black, Jr. and Sandy L. Black, nee Rayburn.  She passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the age of 51 years, 4 months and 15 days.

Gina graduated from Cerro Gordo High School in Illinois.  She had accepted the Lord and attended ACTs Church in Steelville, MO.  She was proud of her sobriety and was active in helping the Recovery Program at ACTS Church for the last 2 years.  She married Glenn Edward Robertson on March 17, 2022 in Cuba, MO.  Gina enjoyed crafting, shopping, dancing, and spending time in her pool.  She liked animals and loved to travel.  Most of all, Gina loved her family; especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Jeannie Rayburn; father-in-law Edward "June Bug" Robertson; sister Joy Black.

Gina is survived by her husband Glenn Robertson of Steelville, MO; parents James and Sandy Black of Davisville, MO; parents-in-law of Sandy Robertson of Steelville, MO; children Amber (Jonathan) Spence of Steelville, MO, Kiersten Guitare of Lubbock, TX and Sam Grant of Champaign, IL; step-children Glenn Robertson, II., Brandon Robertson and Hannah Bailey all of Steelville, MO; brother Jamie (Molly) Black of Bondville, IL; brother-in-law Danny Robertson (fiancee Amber Bauer) of Steelville, MO; sisters-in-law Tammy Robertson of Festus, MO and Renda Robertson of Potosi, MO; grandchildren Kinley and Jayce Spence, Anastasia and Amara Robertson and Elliott Hayes; nieces and nephews Cameron Black, Makayla “Mak” Black, Aidan Black and Madisyn Brown; great nephews Shyloh Black and Everett Pryor; cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service immediately followed with Rev. Mark Godbey officiating.  The service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville MO’s Facebook page beginning at 3:55 PM. The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
