Grace Etta Ware, nee Young, of Steelville, MO, was born on Friday, May 5, 1950, in Keysville, MO to Conn Holmes Young and Pansy Delight Young, nee Dicus. She passed away, at her home in Steelville, MO on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 12 days and just 12 days after her loving husband.
Grace graduated from Cherryville High School. She married the love of her life, Curtis Leo Ware, on September 22, 1969, in Cherryville, MO, and to this union 7 children were born. Grace worked at Brown Shoe Factory in Steelville, MO in the Heel Department, was a cook at Casey’s, Al’s Café both in Steelville, MO and Voss Truck Stop in Cuba, MO. She also worked at BW Freeman Factory in Owensville, MO and babysat for many families. Grace was an avid reader. She enjoyed working on puzzles with her husband, Curtis, cooking and baking. She loved sewing and made all her grandchildren blankets. Most of all, Grace enjoyed time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids and especially looked forward to Sunday Dinners at Grandma Young’s. Grace was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Leo Ware; parents, Conn and Pansy Young; parents-in-law, Franklin and Fannie Ware; brothers, Robert Young and James "Jim" Young; brother-in-law Leonard Ware; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Ware; grandson, Jacob Ware; nephew Paul Young and niece, Betsey Young.
Grace is survived by her 7 children, Curtis Lee Ware (Gina Ossana) of Cuba, MO, Scot (Sandy) Ware of Cherryville, MO, Shawn Ware of Steelville, MO, Mike (Theresa) Ware of Arnold, MO, Randy Ware of Steelville, MO, Crystal (David) Foster of St. James, MO and April Blossom Bunton of Steelville, MO; brothers, Lee (Eula) Young, Dale (Dottie) Young both of Steelville, MO and Glenn (Barb) Young of Cuba, MO; sisters-in-law, Judy Loveless of Cuba, MO and Geneva Young of Steelville, MO; brothers-in-law Virvine Ware of Cherryville, MO, Bill (Marilyn) Ware of Steelville, MO and Loyd (Jackie) Ware of Cherryville, MO; grandchildren, Trenton Ware, Triston Ware, Austin Ware, Dustin (Savanna) Ware, Justin (Rena) Ware, Blake (Hanna) Ware, Brianna (fiance Dwight) Ware, Cara (Brandon) Crider, Ryan Ware, Christopher Ware, John (Shelby) Foster, David Foster, Cristin Foster, Caressa Foster, Hailie Bunton and Amber Gogel; great grandchildren, Kimber, Jakub, Amelia and Redmond Ware, Lily and Natalie Foster, Grayson and Baby H on the way; special friend, Dave Hall of Steelville, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating and was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page. Burial was at the Ware Family Farm in Cherryville, MO. Memorials were suggested to the family to help with final expenses.
