Howard Junior Brown

Howard "Junior" Brown of Davisville, MO was born on Monday, October 17, 1938 in Cherryville, MO to Howard Wilbur Brown and Virginia May Green Brown. He passed away in Sullivan, MO on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 6 days.

Howard (known locally as Junior) attended Earl's School in Cherryville, MO He accepted the Lord early in life and attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church in Davisville, MO. He married the love of his life, Josephine Setzer on May 30, 1959 in Cherryville, MO and to this union two children were born. He was a hardworking auctioneer and farmer. It was said he never met a stranger. He enjoyed welding craft items, hunting, fishing, singing and playing guitar. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Virginia Brown and parents-in-law Minuard and Hildred Setzer.

He is survived by his loving wife Josephine Brown of Davisville, MO; son Daniel "Danny" (friend Sharon) Brown of Davisville, MO; daughter Dorothy (Jerry) Portell and child Daniel all of Cherryville, MO; sister Betty (Arnold) Abney of Steelville, MO; brothers Jack (Vicki) Brown, Terry Brown all of Davisville, MO, and Dave (Verla) Brown of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law Jerry (Fern) Setzer of Cherryville, MO; grandchildren Tim and Melissa and son Briar of Farmington, MO, Dana of Davisville, MO; special friends Dan and Ruth Ann Halbert of Steelville, MO and Melba Martin of Davisville, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A private graveside service was held on Monday, July 26, 2021 with Bro. Paul Hutson officiating at Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.
