Ivan Lloyd Earney

Ivan Lloyd Earney, of Steelville, MO, was born on Monday, January 22, 1962, in Rolla, MO to Lloyd "Red" William Earney and Charlotte Earney, nee Stout.  He passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Cuba Manor at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 21 days.

Ivan was a lifelong resident of Steelville, MO and had attended Steelville High School.  He worked in construction for many years with Mark Harris, Meramec Transformers in Cuba, MO and other manufacturing companies.  Ivan had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in riding motorcycles, restoring old cars, crafting cabinets, and spending peaceful days along the river. He was a true craftsman and outdoorsman at heart. Known for his sociable spirit, Ivan enjoyed connecting with others and was always ready for a good conversation.  He will be dearly missed by family, friends and all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law John and Melba Doss; brothers-in-law Larry Davis and Mike Harris; and great nephew Skylar Glore.

Ivan is survived by his wife Vickie Earney of Steelville, MO; parents Lloyd “Red” and Charlotte Earney of Steelville, MO;  step daughters, Kerri Setzer (companion, Corey Patterson) of Waterloo, IL and Kayla Doss of Steelville, MO; siblings, Billie Davis of Ozark, MO, Roy Earney and Valanna (husband, Gene) Garms both of Steelville, MO; grandchildren, Cora, Lyla, Kaylie, Kenzie, Allie (companion, Korbin), and Hannah; great grandson, Anthony; special nieces, Jennifer (husband, Kevin) Glore of Steelville, MO and Jessica (husband, Levi) Marks of Burnsville, NC.; special nephews, JR Davis of Ozark, MO and Chris Davis of Jersey City, NY; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Celebration of Life immediately followed at 6:00 PM.  The family chose cremation as Ivan's final disposition and will have an inurnment at Wesco Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family or Hutson Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
