James "Jim" David King

James "Jim" David King of Springfield, GA and formerly of Steelville, MO, was born on Tuesday, February 12, 1957 in Jefferson, TX to William King and Geneva Mae King, nee Garms.  He was found at his home in Springfield, GA on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 11 days.

Jim grew up in Steelville, MO, played basketball and graduated from Steelville High School in the Class of 1975.  He married Gail Mahurin and to this union 1 son, Jeremy, was born.  He then joined the United States Air Force where he served our country honorably for 4 years.  Jim later was married to Sharon King and enjoyed spending time with her four daughters.  He worked as a machinist where he later retired.  He moved to Georgia and enjoyed spending time golfing and watching college basketball.  Jim will be dearly missed.  

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Geneva King; brother Larry King and step-daughter Holly.

Jim is survived by his brother Terry King of Steelville, MO; nephew Aaron (wife Reanna) King of Steelville, MO; son Jeremy (wife Melissa) King of Eureka, MO; step-daughters Rachel, Martha and Caroline "Carrie"; favorite cousin Mary Ellis (husband Bob) of Grant, FL; grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  There will not be any services held.
