Jeffrey Alvin Chandler of Moberly, MO, formerly of Steelville, MO, was born on Saturday, August 5, 1961, in Rolla, MO to Alvin Theodore Chandler and Katherine E. Chandler, nee Marcee. He lost his battle to cancer on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 25 days.
Jeff grew up in Steelville where he attended school at Steelville High School. He accepted the Lord early in life and was a member of Wesco Baptist Church. He moved to Warrenton, MO and was employed for several years at the Ford plant in Wentzville, MO where he traveled as a skilled technician specializing in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with factory machinery and equipment used in Ford manufacturing plants. He moved back to Steelville where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Jeff loved spending time with his children while camping and traveling to Branson. He was an avid reader, especially enjoying westerns by Louis L’Amour.
Jeff is preceded in death by his mother Katherine Chandler; and grandparents Theodore (Beulah) Chandler and Charlie (Tillie) Marcee.
Jeff is survived by his father Alvin Chandler of Wesco, MO; children TJ Chandler, Zachary Chandler, and Tina Chandler; sister Tamra Cape of Steelville, MO; other relatives, cousins and friends.
The family chose cremation as his final disposition. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
