Jennifer B. (Lovan) Housewright

Jennifer Beth Housewright, nee Lovan, of Steelville, MO, was born on Wednesday, July 27, 1966 in Rolla, MO to Forrest “Ike” Dean Lovan and June Lovan, nee Ludwick.  She passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Steelville Senior Living at the age of 58 years, 2 months and 1 day.

Jennifer graduated from Steelville High School in the Class of 1984.  She married Joe Cliff Housewright on May 4, 1996 In Steelville, MO and together they blended their families.  Jennifer had worked at Poly Systems, Steelville Telephone and watched children in her home.  She had also managed Lucky Clover and Garrison's camp grounds.  She loved the outdoors, spending time with Joe riding their side by side and going camping.  Most of all, Jennifer loved her children and playing with her grandchildren.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt,  cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law Joseph and Alvina Housewright.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Joe Housewright of Steelville, MO; parents Ike and June Lovan of Steelville, MO; children Lindsey Verble-Uhl (Joe Bell) of Houston, MO and Wyatt (Whitney) Verble of Steelville, MO; step-children Jared (Brandi) Housewright of Steelville, MO and Ashley (Kip) Rouse of Columbia, MO; brother Jimmy (Stacey) Lovan of Springfield, MO; brothers-in-law Roger (Donna) Housewright of Steelville, MO and Jeff Housewright of Bourbon, MO; sister-in-law of Linda (Rick) Branson of Steelville, MO; grandchildren  Waylen (Chasity), Whitley (Derek), Wiley, Lily, Weston and Natalie; great grandchildren Blakleigh and Benjamin; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service followed at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.  Burial was at Steelville Cemetery.

Casket Bearers were: Jim Maxfield, Ricky Livesay, Kip Rouse, Waylen Housewright, Wiley Housewright and Kirk Bouse.
