Jerry Rodgers Obituary

Jerry Rodgers, of Cuba, MO was born on Sunday, October 19, 1958, in St. Louis, MO to Edward Sterling Rodgers and Betty Joan Rodgers (nee Crawford). He passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at his home at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 5 days.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Betty Rodgers; parents-in-law James and Rose Dunn; and wife Paula Rodgers.

Jerry was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and later moved to Cuba, MO as a teen where he attended Cuba High School.  After high school he returned to St. Louis for a few years but in 1990 moved back to Cuba. He worked as a carpenter and at one time owned his own construction company.  Jerry married the love of his life, Paula Louise Dunn at the Fourth Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO on October 23, 1976, and to this union two sons were born.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially camping. 

Jerry is survived by his children Gerald E. Rodgers, Jr and wife Penny of Cuba, MO and James Rodgers and wife Taryn of SC; grandchildren Jordan Rodgers and fiancé Kayla Nix, Tyson Rodgers and fiancé Ben Villarreal-Meier, Gracie Rodgers and fiancé Devon Turner all of Cuba, MO, Damien Rodgers of IL, Skylee Rodgers and significant other Maxwell Richards of FL, and Mitchell Rodgers of SC; many siblings, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.
