Jimmy Allen Woods

Jimmy Allen Woods, of Steelville, MO, was born on Saturday, September 7, 1963, in Union City, CA, to William "Willy" Johnny Woods and Audrey Jennine Woods, nee Danner.  He passed away at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Jimmy graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, MO in the Class of 1983.  In November of 1986, he began his career as a Maintenance Worker at Packaging Concepts Inc. in St. Louis, MO where he has worked for 38 years.  Jimmy married the love of his life, Sarah Kay Sellers, on November 19, 1994, in Cherryville, MO, and to this union three children were born.  He was well known for his cooking and baking, especially his pies and was an amazing artist.  He loved the outdoors whether it was lazy days at the creek, fishing or hunting.  Most of all, Jimmy loved his family and time spent with them. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, “Pappy”, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Audrey Woods; mother-in-law, Kathleen Sellers; and infant grandson, Nathan Drake Woods.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sarah Woods of Steelville, MO; children, Lindsie (husband Eric) Schmidt, Ethan Woods and Tristan (wife Kourtney) Woods all of Steelville, MO; grandchildren, Ellie and Memphis Schmidt and Macie Woods; mother-in-law, Martha Sellers of Steelville, MO; father-in-law, Lindell (wife Anita) Sellers of Steelville, MO; siblings, Johnny Joe Woods, Cynthia Woods and Sherry (husband Robert) Miller all of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Charla (Mike) Woods of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law, Brian Sellers (companion Lisa) of Steelville, MO; special nephew and nieces, Jackson Woods of Steelville, MO, Pamela Woods and Charlotte Woods both of St. Louis, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service immediately followed at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.  The service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page.  Burial was at Cherry Valley Cemetery in Steelville, MO.
