Juanita Joyce Bell was born in Salem, MO on Sunday, December 3, 1939 to Arthur Eldon Dunlap and Vetta Grace (Ransom) Dunlap. She passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 17 days.
Juanita graduated from Steelville High School. She married Bill Bell on January 5, 1958 in Hernando, MS and to this union two children were born. She grew up in the Assembly of God Church and later Center Point Baptist Church, both in Steelville, for many years. Juanita worked at the local shoe factories Convey, Cuba Shoe and worked later at Brown Shoe until they closed. She also worked at Hutson Funeral Home as a door greeter for over 25 years. Juanita loved to shop and enjoyed going to auctions and resale shops with her sister Sue. She was always thinking of other people, buying gifts and making pies and cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching television. Juanita loved children and made over any that she was around, she especially loved her grandchildren. Most of all, Juanita loved her family.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Vetta Dunlap; husband Bill Bell; parents-in-law Ernest and Mabel Bell; brothers-in-law Donald "Butch" Miller, Tom Roberson and Steve Bell and sisters-in-law Sue Bell, Bonnie Bowman and Glenda Caron.
She is survived by her children Randy Bell (Susan Mabe) and Sandy (Bill) Richardson all of Steelville, MO; siblings Sue Miller and Ron Caron both of Steelville, MO; sister-in-law of Martha Roberson of St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law Don (Pauline) Bell of OK; grandchildren Christy, Colby, Anthony, Melanie, Jerry, Becky, Dylan, Maggie and Claire; great grandchildren Shelby, Elliot, Wyatt, Cassie, Lucas, Logan, Dawson, Austin, Zac, Lexi, Kaitlyn, Jared, Kayleen, Thaydon, Carden and Keagan; great great grandchildren Emma, Adi, Hunter and Baby Midyett; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family had a private funeral service on Saturday, August 29, 2020 with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. The service was live streamed on Hutson Funeral Home - Steelville’s Facebook page. Burial was at Steelville Cemetery. Memorials were suggested to First Assembly of God Church (PO Box AK, Steelville, MO 65565).
