Judy Lynne (McCormick) Adams

Judy Lynne Adams, nee McCormick, was born on Sunday, November 24, 1946 to Raymond M. McCormick and Viola Marie McCormick, nee Kay.  She passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 6 days.

Judy grew up in Steelville, MO and graduated from Steelville High School in the class of 1964.  She had worked for Brown Shoe Company and  then worked for Bill Spurgeon's private ambulance before Steelville had their own district.  Judy was a natural caregiver and followed her call on her life to help others.  She was an EMT for 5 years until she finished her schooling where she received her paramedic's license, working for Steelville Ambulance, North County Ambulance and Pulaski County over the course of 32 years.  Judy enjoyed cooking and crafts.  She liked to be outside gardening or piddling in her yard.  She loved to travel and buying happy meals for herself and her yorkie dog, Waylon.  Most of all, Judy loved her family and spending time with them.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond M. and Viola McCormick and brother Raymond W. McCormick.

Judy is survived by her children Alan (Mary Beth) Adams and Jon (Peggy) Adams both of Steelville, MO and Chris Adams of Sullivan, MO; grandchildren Colton (Leah) Adams of Steelville, MO and Trevor Adams of Steamboat Springs, CO; great grandchildren Autry, Owen and Henley Adams; sister-in-law Grace McCormick of Steelville, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Memorial Service immediately followed at 7:00 PM with Bro. Paul Hutson officiating.  The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
