Katina Lynnette Holland

Katina Lynnette Holland of Union, MO was born on Sunday, January 12, 1975, in Rolla, MO to Ronald Ernest Holland and Jerry Lynn Holland, nee Gillam.  She passed away at her home on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 16 days.

Katina attended Viburnum and Cuba High Schools then went to Sanford-Brown college.  She later obtained her cosmetology license from Rolla Cosmetology School, opened her own salon in Licking, MO and had also worked at Hair & Body Care in Steelville, MO.  She had a heart for taking care of others and would do anything to help one in need.  She was a natural caregiver and recently had worked for Angels at Home in Union, MO doing home health care.  Katina had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was a member of Trinity Chapel in Leasburg, MO.  She loved music and to clean.  Most of all, Katina loved her family, especially her dog Ruby.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ernest and Lola Holland, Junior Hutson and Purn Gillam.

Katina is survived by her father Ronnie Sr. (Judy) Holland of Davisville, MO; mother Jerry Lynn Holland, nee Gillam, of Davisville, MO; daughters Amber (Matt) Peak of Cuba, MO and Julia (Jake) Greene of Viburnum, MO; two grandchildren Elijah Peak and Jezzie Greene; grandparents Deloris Gillam of Davisville, MO and Linda Hutson of Cherryville, MO; siblings Ronnie II (Angie) Holland of Cuba, MO and Crystal (Matthew) McGuire of Mexico, MO; step-brothers Jason “Jake” Remster and Mark Remster both of Davisville, MO, Robert Remster of Viburnum, MO and Brian Remster of Bunker, MO; nieces Mica Holland of Sullivan, MO, Morgan (Dakota) Long of Steelville, MO and Kirsten Halbert of Springfield, MO; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.   Funeral Service immediately followed at 1:00 PM with Pastor Richard Martin officiating.  Burial was at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, MO.
