Leslie “Dale” Turnbough of Viburnum, MO was born on Thursday, November 25, 1937 in Dillard, MO to Tom Turnbough and Wilma Davis Turnbough. He passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home at the age of 84 years, 0 month, and 5 days.
Dale attended Dillard High School. He entered the United States Air Force on January 16, 1961 and was honorably discharged 1967. He worked in the mining industry and ultimately retired from the Doe Run Mine Company. Dale married Judy Elaine Humphrey and two children were born to this union. He spent the last 33 years with the love of his life, Sue Brines. He enjoyed the country life, bird watching, Cardinal Baseball, and watching rodeos. He especially loved his dog Cooper, gardening, yard work, and his flowers. Most of all Dale loved spending time with his family and friends.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Wilma Turnbough and brother William Howard Turnbough.
Dale is survived by his companion, Sue Brines of Viburnum, MO; children Lucas Dale Turnbough of Farmington, MO and Leslie Dawn (Aaron) Homer of Viburnum, MO; step-children Johnnie (Sheri) Jenkins of Grayville, IL, Leslie Brines of Imperial, MO, Tammy (Paul) Linderman of Viburnum, MO, Timmy (Chris) Brines of Diamond, MO, Melba (Troy) Henson of Bartlesville, OK, and Joyce (Greg) Horton of Bixby, MO; sister Helen Ruth Cochran of Meadows of Dan, VA; brother Donald (Mary) Turnbough of Viburnum, MO; 25 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was Saturday, December, 04, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Burial was at Sellers Cemetery, Dillard, MO with full military honors. Memorials we’re suggested to the American Cancer Society or Santana’s Hope 4 Paws, Steelville, MO.
