Linda P. (Ogle) Lea

Linda Pearl Lea, nee Ogle, of Steelville, MO was born on Tuesday, November 12, 1957 in Steelville, MO to Robert Wayne Ogle and Ruth Olive Ogle, nee Howdeshell.  She passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 22 days, just one week after her husband of 45 years passed away.

Linda grew up in Steelville, MO and attended Steelville Schools. She married the love of her life, Dennis Lloyd Lea on April 15, 1978 in Steelville, MO and to this union two children, Rachel and Dennis, Jr., were born.  Linda was a homemaker, babysat her grandson Caleb when he was a baby and loved spending time with family.  Before she became sick, she enjoyed going on rides, floating, cooking and especially enjoyed shopping.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ruth Ogle; parents-in-law Lloyd Lea and Helen (Robert) Francis; husband Dennis Lea; infant son Dennis Lea, Jr.; siblings Ricky Ogle and Donna (Eddie) Conaway; sisters-in-law Dorris (Kenny) Green, Judy Lea and Barbara Parker; brothers-in-law Jim Jones and Rick Roper; and infant grandson Connor Gullet.

Linda is survived by her daughter Rachel (Zac) Stubbert of Steelville, MO; grandchildren Caleb Gullet, Brooklyn Stubbert, Zackary Stubbert and Lilli Stubbert all of Steelville, MO; siblings Leona Jones and Randy (Kelly) Ogle both of Steelville, MO, Rhonda (Greg) Hill of Enid, OK, Marie Roper of OK, Dennis (Debbie) Ogle of Grafton, IL and Robert Ogle of St. Louis, MO; brothers-in-law Eugene (Paula) Lea and Landis “Jr.” Parker both of Steelville, MO; sister-in-law Brenda (Tom) Murray of Steelville, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service immediately followed at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.  The service will be livestreamed beginning at 11:55 AM on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page.  Burial was at Freeman Cemetery.  Memorials were suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
