Linda Rachelle "Shell" Janus

Linda Rachelle "Shell" Janus, of Rolla, MO and formally of St. Clair, MO, was born on Monday, July 04, 1962, in St. Louis, MO, to William "Bill" Thomas Janus and Edna "Mae" Janus, nee Turner. She passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO, at the age of 62 years 3 months and 21 days. 

Shell attended Grant Grade School and Roosevelt High School, both in St. Louis, MO. She met Steven Glenn England while attending a music event with her family in Viburnum, MO. They later married on April 12, 1980, in Cherryville, MO and to this union, a daughter Rachel, was born. Shell had accepted the Lord early in life, was baptized at Rolla Family Worship and was a member of Redemption Ministries of Rolla. She had worked as a School Bus Monitor for children of special needs in St. Clair, MO, and lastly as a Receptionist at In Home Hearing Aid in Rolla, MO. Shell loved everything Elvis, going to Branson and playing mini golf. She also enjoyed going to the casino, playing the lottery and scratch off tickets. She especially enjoyed time spent playing bingo, card games, board games and Yahtzee with family and friends. Shell was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna "Mae" Janus. 

Shell is survived by her father, William "Bill" Janus of Rolla, MO; daughter, Rachel (Lou) Martin of St. Clair, MO; two sisters, Lana (Paulie) Coverdell of Rolla, MO and Lisa (Travis) Buffer of Edgar Springs, MO; five grandchildren, Tyler (Shannon) Martin of Warrenton, MO, Kyler Horn and Ciara Horn both of St. Clair, MO, Makalynn Horn (Gavin Overschmidt) of Pacific, MO and Jacob Martin of High Hill, MO; one great grandchild on the way; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Visitation was from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO. Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor Paulie Coverdell officiating. Burial was at Crocker Stricklin Cemetery, Neals Creek, Bixby, MO.
