Lisa Marie (Downs) Tapp

Lisa Marie Tapp, nee Downs, of Steelville, MO and formerly of Woodlake, CA, was born on Tuesday, January 1, 1980 in Hawthorne, CA to Robert Cope and Terry Sue Cope (nee Downs).  She passed away at Steelville Senior Living on Friday, March 18. 2022 at the age of 42 years, 2 months and 17 days.

Lisa graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, CA.  She married the love of her life, Jack Henry Dean Tapp on October 14, 2002 in Visalia, CA and had 7 children that she adored.  She stayed at home raising and homeschooling her kids.  Lisa and Jack moved from Woodlake, CA to Steelville, MO in July of 2021 and attended the First Assembly of God Church.  Lisa had a servant heart and heart for the Lord.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking and going to the beach.  She had a vibrant personality, a contagious smile and a zest for life.  Most of all, Lisa loved being a wife and mom.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Cope and grandparents.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Jack Tapp of Steelville, MO; mother Terry Downs of Steelville, MO; mother-in-law Carole Rule of Visalia, CA; children Chance Tapp, Nathaniel Tapp, Samantha Tapp, Alexander Tapp, Dovie Tapp, Gwendolyn Tapp and Jackson Tapp all of Steelville, MO; brother-in-law Danny Tapp of Visalia, CA; other siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family chose cremation as her final disposition.  A memorial service was at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at First Assembly of God, Steelville, MO.  The service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page beginning around 1:55 PM.  Reception followed the memorial service.
