Lucille Graff Obituary

Lucille Rose Graff, nee Fulliam, of Union, MO, formerly of Cuba, MO, was born on Friday, December 26, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Edward James Fulliam and Caroline Lucille Ryder Fulliam.  She passed away at Sunset Health Care Center in Union, MO on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 90 years, 11 months, and 22 days.

She attended Cuba Schools and accepted the Lord as her personal Savior early in life. She married Merlin Clifford Graff in Goldendale, WA on July 2, 1956 and to this union 3 sons were born.

Lucille was very strong in her faith and attended Church of God in Sullivan, MO.  She was a Sunday School teacher and a supporter of the Billy Graham and Franklin Graham Ministries. She also was a pet lover and backed programs like PETA that advocated for the protection of animals. She loved taking and sharing photographs with her friends and family, driving to the river and looking at the scenery, and caring for her flowers.  She and her husband tended to their gardens and canned numerous vegetables. She also was a very faithful pen pal and never missed sending a birthday and Christmas card to her family members. Throughout her life, she always put others first and was a caregiver for several in her family. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Merlin Graff; parents Edward and Caroline Fulliam; parents-in-law Jacob Graff and Mabel Hiley Graff; sons Phillip Graff and Paul Graff; brothers Paul (Carolyn) Fulliam, James Fulliam, and John Fulliam; sister Bessie Copling; infant sister Faith Fulliam; and brother-in-law Don Boyster.

She is survived by her son Michael Graff and partner Roger Knapp of Union, MO; sister Louise Boyster of Kimberling City, MO; brother-in-law Pastor Henry (Patsy) Copling of Cuba, MO; sister-in-law Bertha Davis of Desoto, MO; grandchildren Lee Knapp of Nixa, MO and Jimmy Ray Knapp of Lebanon, MO; great grandchildren Destiny Stockam of Lebanon, MO, Emalee Knapp of Bland, MO, and Lylien Knapp of St. Clair, MO; great great grandchild Zane Stockam of Lebanon, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.  Funeral Service  immediately followed at 12:00 PM with Pastor Henry Copling officiating.  Burial was in Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, MO. 

Memorials were suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (13801 Riverport Dr. #303, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, 314-962-0023) or Santana's Hope 4 Paws (93 Czar Tower Rd, Steelville, MO 65565). 

All arrangements are under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
