Margaret Leona Boldt nee Ogle of Cuba, MO was born on Sunday, April 19, 1936 in Granite City, IL to Fred and Pearl Ogle. She passed away in her home on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 27 days.
Growing up Margaret worked hard on the family farm. When her parents sold the farm and moved into Steelville they purchased the Palladium Café/ Pool Hall where Margaret worked during her teen years. She also was crowned Miss Bell Telephone during the 1950’s in Steelville. Margaret married David Boldt on February 17, 1957 in Steelville, MO and to this union three sons were born. They moved to St. Louis where she worked for So Good Potato Chips. Later, they lived in Ironton, MO and she was employed with Brown Shoe factory for several years until she had failing health. She attended Free Will Baptist Church, Cuba, MO. Margaret was a beautiful, sweet and kind lady and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Pearl; husband David Boldt; son Billy Boldt; granddaughter Angie Powell; grandson Lucas Boldt; brothers Richard, Fred and Bob (Ruth) Ogle; sister Shirley (Noah) Livesay; and brother-in-law Bill Boldt.
She is survived by her sons David F. Boldt of Union, MO and Thomas (Caroline) Boldt of Steelville, MO; significant other David Christisen of Cuba, MO; brothers Ray (Glenna) Ogle of Annapolis, MO and Jimmy Ogle of Steelville, MO; sisters-in-law Pat Ogle of Sullivan, MO, Caroline Daugherty of New Haven, CT; Nancy (Mark) Markussen of Seattle, WA, Marian (David) Kraft of New Haven, CT and Linda Ogle of Steelville, MO; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 12:00-2:00PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Memorial Service was at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Pastor Don Martin officiating.
Memorials were suggested to Cuba Senior Center and/or The Gideon’s International.
