Marian Brinkmeyer Obituary

Marian D. Brinkmeyer, nee Wolke, of Steelville, MO formerly of O’Fallon, MO was born on Thursday, October 18, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to John Wolke and Minnie Huffendick Wolke.  She passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Steelville Senior Living Center at the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 8 days.

Marian accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church located in St. Ann, MO.  She attended Riverview High School in St. Louis, MO.  She married the love of her life, Charles Frederick Brinkmeyer on September 21, 1951 in St. Louis, MO and to this union 2 sons were born.   She enjoyed being a member of the Altar Guild at her church, tending her flowers, and playing pinochle with her family and friends.  She loved taking care of her home, cooking, and baking. She was an avid supporter of KFUO radio, a Christian talk and teaching radio station.  Most of all, Marian loved her family, taking care of her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Minnie Wolke; parents-in-law Herman and Olga Minette Brinkmeyer; and sisters-in-law Doris (Ben) Boone and Norma (Jack) Henke.

Marian is survived by her husband, Charles Brinkmeyer of Steelville, MO; sons Kurt (Cathy) Brinkmeyer and David (Jean) Brinkmeyer all of O’Fallon, MO; grandchildren Grant (Ryan) Brinkmeyer of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Holly (Matthew) Aslin, David (Jessica) Brinkmeyer, Daniel (Laura) Brinkmeyer all of  O’Fallon, MO, Heather (Andrew) Johnston of St. Charles, MO, and Michele (Steve) Green of Steelville, MO; great grandchildren Amie Green of Washington, MO, Camden Brinkmeyer and Sloane Brinkmeyer both of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Regan Aslin, Duncan Aslin, Avery Aslin, and Aiden Brinkmeyer all of O’Fallon, MO, Lily Johnston and Liam Johnston both of St. Charles, MO.

Visitation was Tuesday, December 07, 2021, from 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Memorial Service immediately followed with Pastor Tim Ostermeyer officiating.  The family chose cremation as her final disposition.  Memorials were suggested to KFUO Radio, 1333 S. Kirkwood Road, St. Louis, MO 63122.
