Marie England Obituary

Marie Josephine England nee Farrar of Fenton, MO, was born on November 12, 1930 in Steelville, MO to Clarence Otto Farrar and Myrtle (Gann) Farrar.  She passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Bethesda Southgate in St. Louis, MO at the age of 89 years, 8 months, and 2 days.

Marie accepted the Lord early in life and attended Center Point Baptist Church in Steelville, MO and in later years attended Vandover Baptist Church in Fenton, MO.  She was a graduate of Steelville High School and worked as an Assistant Planner for Von Hoffmann Press.  She married the love of her life, Noel "Kermit" England on June 10, 1950 in St. Louis, MO.  To this union, one daughter was born.  Marie was a very caring person, always helping others. She helped nurse other family members or anyone that needed her assistance. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her Granddog Ember, who she totally spoiled.  When Marie was younger she wanted to be a Doctor.  She found science very fascinating and in her spare time, she enjoyed long and deep conversations with her son-in-law Bruce about all the wonderful and astounding aspects of the universe. Other things Marie enjoyed were taking scenic drives with her assisted living home, Cape Albeon, and keeping up with her hometown by reading the Steelville Star.  Her favorite movie was "Gone with the Wind." She also enjoyed playing bingo, sometime winning candy bars and cash.  She would always call her daughter to tell her about her winnings and all the fun she had.

She was preceded in death by her husband Noel “Kermit” England; parents Clarence Otto Farrar and Myrtle (Gann) Farrar; brother Ken Farrar; brother-in-law Robert Callahan; and sisters-in-law Ginny Farrar and Gail Farrar.

She is survived by her loving daughter Diana (Bruce) Boston of Fenton, MO; her favorite Granddog Ember; brothers William Farrar of Orange County, CA and Robert Farrar of Chesterfield, MO; sister Rosemary Callahan of Cherryville, MO; sister-in-law Betty Farrar of Durant, IA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
