Mary Ann McGuire

Mary Ann McGuire, nee Brown, of Steelville, MO was born on Saturday, October 09, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to Wayne Brown and Thelma Brown, nee Mizell.  She passed away at Steelville Senior Living on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 16 days.

Mary attended and graduated Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, MO. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior early in life. Mary worked many years as a secretary for the Presbyterian Center in St. Louis, MO before retiring.  She enjoyed reading, particulary fantasy and science fiction books.  She also enjoyed making jewelry and listening to music, especially old gospel, Elvis, and Tennessee Ernie Ford.  Mary loved her cats.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Thelma Brown; son Patrick McGuire; and brother Wayne Brown.

Mary is survived by her children Carla McGuire of Bourbon, MO, Christopher (Peace) McGuire of Virginia, Jeffrey McGuire of Steelville, MO and James (Kelly) McGuire of Coffeyville, KS; grandchildren Elana, Heather, Colin, Zach and Elisha; great grandchildren Gabby, Marley, Katalina, Lily, Ava, Heidi, Hunter, Sophia, Adalynn, and Natalie; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
