Mindy Kay Brenton, nee Garrison of Cuba, MO was born on Tuesday, May 25, 1971, in Sullivan, MO to Larry Ray Garrison and Zelma Berneice Alexander. She passed away at NHC Healthcare in St. Charles, MO on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the age of 53 years, 4 months, and 14 days.
Mindy attended high school in St. James and Cuba where she enjoyed being a high school cheerleader. She was employed by DCAI in home health care for many years. Mindy enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and dancing. She was full of life and always laughing. Mindy loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Larry Garrison; stepmother Pam Garrison; brother Timothy Garrison; and sister Mary Clark.
Mindy is survived by her mother Zelma Alexander; children Andrea Brenton of Cuba, MO, Tori (Michael) Gray of Springfield, MO, Jesse Woodall of Davisville, MO, Auna Perry of Independence, MO, and Jonathan Woodall of Joplin, MO; sisters Tammy Garrison Miller of Lodi, OH, Amanda Schlitt of Cuba, MO, and Michelle “Micki” Parker of Cuba, MO; brother Curtis “Scooter” Henson of Cuba, MO; brother-in-law Eugene Clark of Cuba, MO; grandchildren Karsyn Hodges, Braxton Coverdell both of Cuba, MO and Brynlee Gray of Springfield, MO; special friends Julietta Hebenstreit, Mariah Goderis, and Jim Christopher; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family chose cremation as her final disposition. There will be no services held at this time.
