On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Nadene Hogue, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 80.

Nadene was born July 8, 1940 in Salem, MO to Alvah Homer Carr and Millie Madeline (Litty) Carr. She married the love of her life Harold Gene Hogue on August 30,1958 and they moved from Cook Station, MO to Saint Louis, MO to raise 3 children together. Nadene spent over 40 years in a career she loved at Martiz working her way from the mailroom to senior leadership and paving the way for countless female leaders behind her. After retirement, she took careful care of Gene as he was fighting a long battle with cancer and raised her beloved great granddaughter Emilie Marlene Hogue. She enjoyed quilting and was well known for her beautiful and intricate designs, many of which she gifted to friends and family. She was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Nadene was preceded in death by her husband Harold Gene Hogue; son Rickey G. Hogue; grandson Daniel P. Hogue;  parents Alvah Homer Carr and Millie Madeline (Litty) Carr; Sisters Lois Ann Missey, Judy Worley, and Christine Grubaugh; brother Thomas E. Carr; brothers-in-law E. Wayne Hogue, William Monroe Hogue, Gerald Eacker; and Thomas Buckingham.

She is survived by her son Allen Wayne (Tammy) Hogue; daughter Lisa Kaye Ghattas; grandsons Gary Wayne Hogue, Andrew Ghattas and Anthony Ghattas; granddaughters Ahbier (Joe) FaQuin, Muna (Curt) Mercer, Kayla (Larry) Price; great-grandson Callahan Michael Mercer; and great-granddaughter, holding a special place in her heart, Emilie Marlene Hogue along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
