Patricia M. Evans nee Hutchings of Vichy, MO was born on Sunday, March 21, 1937 to Gentry Willard Hutchings and Trula Esther Fryman Hutchings in Banner, MO. She passed away at her home Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 23 days.
Patricia married the love of her life, Odell Leland Evans on August 4, 1956 in St. Louis, MO and to this union 3 daughters were born. Patricia was a homemaker most of her life but also had several jobs throughout her life such as a factory worker, a cook and a caregiver. Patricia was very talented, she played the guitar and piano by ear and loved music. She was very crafty. She enjoyed baking, painting, ceramics, crocheting and sewing. She made her daughter’s clothes and kept them looking nice. Most of all, Patricia loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gentry Willard Hutchings and Trula Esther Hutchings; husband Odell Leland Evans; parents-in-law Roy and Edna Evans; sisters Wanda Hawkins, Lorene Ogzwalla and Charlene Amburgy; brother Rick Hutchings; brothers-in-law Lavern Evans, Olin Evans and Darald Evans; son-in-law Kenny Jackson and infant grandson David Timothy Evans.
She is survived by her daughters Pam Jackson of Desloge, MO, Beverly (Dean) Morris of Pevely, MO and Debbie Patrick of Vichy, MO; ex son-in-law Brian Patrick of House Springs, MO; siblings Geraldine (Jerry) King and Betty (Curt) Lefler both of Berryman, MO, Donna Tittsworth, Sonny (Mary) Hutchings and Edward (Sandy) Robertson all of Steelville, MO and Jess Evans of Effingham, IL; sisters-in-law Marilyn (Dale) Benson of St. James, MO, Glenna Dicus of Desloge, MO, Mattie Evans of Potosi, MO, Pat Evans of Festus, MO and Karen Hutchings of Cuba, MO; 12 grandchildren: Deanna (Paul), Brenda (Chuck), Patricia, Peter, Isabel, Charlie (Melissa), Odell (April), Melissa, Sonya, Susan, Diane (Patrick) and Crystal; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 2:00 pm with Bro. Charles Jackson officiating. Burial was at Shoal Creek Cemetery. Memorials were suggested to the family for funeral expenses.
