RaDonna Turnbough Obituary

RaDonna JoAnn Turnbough nee Black of Cherryville, MO was born on Thursday, February 17, 1983 in Sullivan, MO to Billy Joe Black and Dean Turnbough Black.  She passed away at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 38 years and 13 days. 

RaDonna grew up in Cherryville, MO, was home-schooled and worked at Cobblestone Lodge as a teenager.  She married Michael Leon Turnbough on April 13, 2002 at Midland Pentecostal Assembly in Steelville, MO and to this union two sons, Mikey and Austin, were born. She later married Chris Lea in 2012 and to this union, Jase, was born.  RaDonna had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and attended Midland Pentecostal Assembly.  RaDonna was a hard worker and always carried two jobs.  She had worked at Mine Supply in Viburnum, MO, Brake Parts and the Smoke Shop in Cuba, MO, the Mill Springs Convenience Store in Steelville, MO, Walmart Distribution Center in St. James, MO and Versa Tags in Cuba over 15 years.  RaDonna loved the outdoors.  She liked to go fishing, camping, and boat riding.  She enjoyed riding 4wheelers, playing in the snow but particularly sitting on a beach, tanning and just being in the sunshine. She enjoyed traveling, had been to Hawaii and had looked forward to going on more trips.  Most of all, RaDonna loved her family, especially her sons who were her entire world. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed but always remembered.

She was preceded in death by her father Bill Black; grandparents Cletus & Mildred Turnbough and Raymond & Gertie Black; uncles Don Turnbough and Bobby Dale Black; great nephew Xaine Hoke.

She is survived by her mother Dean Black of Cherryville, MO; 3 sons Mikey Turnbough, Austin Turnbough and Jase Turnbough all of Cherryville, MO; siblings Bobby (Rhonda) Black and Billy (Susan) Black, II both of Cherryville, MO and Ricky Black and Debbie Black (Jim Barrett) both of Davisville, MO; special friend James Carrick of Cherryville, MO; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM — 8:00PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO with Pastor Jared Gillam officiating.  Burial was at Martin Cemetery in Cherryville, MO.  Memorials were suggested to the family to help with final expenses.
