Rachel Lee Halbert, nee Jackson, of Steelville, MO was born on Saturday, February 23, 1985, in Rolla, MO, to Michael Byron Jackson and Tammara Kay Durbin. She passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Cuba, MO, at the age of 40 years, 5 months and 24 days.
Rachel earned her high school diploma and worked primarily in the hospitality industry as a housekeeper. She loved hunting for rocks, roots and collecting arrowheads. Rachel enjoyed doing anything outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She loved her dad’s BBQ, picking on and joking with people. Most of all she loved spending time with her kids and family.
Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents Charlene (Lawrence) Ziegler; grandfathers Alfred Forster and Bob Jackson; uncles Keith Forster, Alfred Forster, Jr., and Adam Forster.
Rachel is survived by her mother Tammara Durbin of Newalla, OK; father Michael (wife, Karen) Jackson of Cuba, MO; grandmother Wanda Forster of Birch Tree, MO; sons Blaine Booker of Cook Station, MO and Chase Copling of Leasburg, MO; brother Michael (friend, Ellen) Glandon of Newalla, OK; sister Charlotte Jackson of Cuba, MO; uncles Stanley Ziegler of Sullivan, MO, Charles Forster (companion, Melissa Braddock) of Mountain View, MO and Richard (wife, Jenny) Forster of Sullivan, MO; aunt Teresa Townsend of Kansas City, MO; special friends April Hayes of Lamar, MO, Pete Clark of Leasburg, MO, Barry Evans and Richard Hardin both of Steelville, MO; many more special friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family chose cremation as her final disposition. Graveside Inurnment was at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, MO with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Memorials were suggested to the family to help with final expenses.
