Regina Bilgere Obituary

Regina Lea Bilgere, nee Tidwell, of St. Louis, MO, was born on Saturday, February 16, 1957, in St. Louis City, MO, to Leroy Tidwell and Barbara Jean Tidwell, nee Green.  She passed away at her home in St. Louis, MO, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 28 days.

Regina grew up in and was a lifelong resident of St. Louis City.  She married the love of her life, Daniel Alan Bilgere, on September 13, 1975 at City Hall in St. Louis, MO and to this union two children were born.  Regina was a housewife and loved the job title of “mom.”  She was kindhearted, creative, had her own style and was very artistic, especially when it came to sketching and drawing.  Regina enjoyed making jewelry and loved reading, usually ghost stories, mysteries and poetry, or anything by Stephen King and Edgar Alan Poe.  She was a music lover, with a few of her favorites being The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeplin, Bob Dylan and Elvis; and enjoyed playing “Name That Tune.” She loved all animals (except for rodents) and left behind her dog Petey, cat Max and bird Blue.  Regina’s family was everything to her and she always looked forward to family dinners at various restaurants on the weekends.  She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Tidwell; husband, Dan Bilgere; parents-in-law, Nancee Raisch and John Bilgere, Sr.; infant sister, Cathy Lee Tidwell.

Regina is survived by her mother, Barbara (husband, Fred) Mertz of Cherryville, MO; children, Trista Bilgere (Patrick Garrett) and Jason (wife, Melanie) Bilgere both of St. Louis, MO; sister, Holly (husband, Arthur) Kreienkamp of Bourbon, MO; sister-in-law, Karen (husband, Louie) Ravetta of Edwardsville, IL; brother-in-law, John (wife, Glynda) Bilgere of FL; grandchildren, Sammantha (husband, Brian) Kirkpatrick and Jacob Garrett both of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Aiden and Oliver Kirkpatrick; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
