Rita M Evans

Rita M. Evans of Beaufort, MO, formerly of Steelville, MO was born on Monday, December 30, 1963 in St. Louis, MO to Richard Darryl Evans and Wanda Jean Kinkead Evans.  She passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Washington at the age of 57 years, 11 month, and 15 days.

Rita accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age.  She worked as a CNA and enjoyed taking care of people.  She volunteered many years at the Gerald Senior Citizen’s Center preparing and serving meals.  She enjoyed taking her dogs to the creek and listening to music, especially rock and roll.  Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Wanda Evans; brothers Dallas Kinkead and Ronald Evans; brother-in-law Roger Grube; and grandson Tyler Christie.

Rita is survived by her children Kammy M. Christie (Kenneth Lane) and Jason Hansen both of Beaufort, MO; step-children, Timothy Hansen of Owensville, MO, Stacy (Mike) Jarvis and Tiffany Brown both of Belle, MO, Amanda (Paul) Rasche of Linn, MO and Tasha Vannetter of Park Hills, MO; sisters Rose (Leonard) Dierking of Beaufort, MO and Roberta Grube of Gerald, MO; grandchildren Dakota Brooks of Cuba, MO, Seth Wideman and Andrew Wideman both of St. Louis, MO and Thomas Christie and Tucker Christie both of Owensville, MO; many step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

The family chose cremation as her final disposition.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with Ernest Ryan officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
