Roberta "Berta" May (Nelson) Pratt

Roberta May Pratt, nee Nelson, of Steelville, MO was born on Monday, December 8, 1941 in Crawford County, MO to Robert V. Nelson and Opal V. Pinson Nelson.  She passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Life Care Center of Sullivan, MO at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Roberta attended school in both Cuba and Steelville throughout her youth.  She married Roy Pratt and to this union, 2 sons were born.  She attended Cherryville Church of God and loved going when she was able, had taught Sunday School and enjoyed studying her bible.  Roberta worked as a secretary for many years at Pratt's Repair Shop in Sullivan, MO. She used to collect antique dishes and was very knowledgeable about them. She also loved dogs and enjoyed to read and listen to music.   

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert V. Nelson and Opal V. Nelson; brother James "Jim" Nelson; sister Dottie and son Roy Lee Pratt, Jr.

Roberta is survived by her son Johnny Pratt; sister Barbara Gordon of Cuba, MO and sister Donna; sister-in-law Carol Nelson of St. James, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service immediately followed at 10:00 AM.  Burial was at Steelville Cemetery.
